After reading the preview of current kblogger development on the Planet, I decided to install kblogger (kicker-kblogger on ubuntu) from standard gutsy repo. Turn out it still have the 0.6 version. I then successfully compile the 0.7 and running it to post this blog. Certainly there are lots of improvement, like adding image or post preview features.
There are (of course) some glitches though, like the missing icon, The last time I use kblogger the icon on kicker would correctly display the kblogger icon, however in the ubuntu gusty and latest version (0.7) the icon is not displayed I have only word "blog" instead.
The dev people said that kblogger is ready for KDE 4.0. I read from the comment in th Planet to have kblogger changed from a kicker applet to a standar app. Since kicker is discontinued in KDE 4.0, I dont know how kblogger would turn out. I hope Kblogger would still carry on its reputation as the best KDE native blogging application.
